John has over 30 years of accounting experience with S. Preston Douglas & Associates, LLP.  A native of Vance County, John moved to Lumberton in 1977 to begin working at the firm.  John's specialties include advising in the areas of tax, estate, and financial planning.

John is married to Deborah, also a partner with the firm. They have three adult children, Lee, Amy, and Stephen. Their youngest child, Sara, is in college at North Carolina State University.  John enjoys playing golf, singing, church involvement, and family activities. John also participates in various civic organizations in Lumberton.
